What have people used to replace the 3/16 plywood tack strip at the bottom of the TR3 seats when redoing them? Seems like there would be a modern (plastic?) replacement for the stuff that crumbled in

I used 1/4 inch plywood I had laying around. External plywood would be best as it has water proof glue. I also gave it about 5 coats of polyethelin. I used both staples and uphostry tacks. The guy at

Check out a Marine hardware store or boat yard. Several years ago I reupholstered some boat seats and was able to purchase some MONEL staples which are corrosion resistant to salt water. They should
