Hi Bob - yes it can be done, but with an awful lot of work, patience, and scraped knuckles. I did mine this way on a 1958 TR3A that had just been painted, and I didn't want to remove the front apron

I agree with TeriAnn. Although it may be physically possible to pull off everything on the front of the engine and "nurse" the rad out of its place and then eventually putting it back together; it is

I also agree with terryann. Did this just last summer, and decided to try without removing the apron. Spent hours and hours, and finally got stymied when I couldn't get the bolts out of the front of

I took the front cowl off my TR3 today and went to remove the radiator. The bottom 2 9/16" bolts are almost totally hidden and no matter what wrench or position I used I could not get a grip on them.

I am going to pull my radiator out of my TR3a this week, are there any tricks to getting it out? Does it come out the top or do I tilt it up and take it out through the grill? -- 1959 TR3A TS42661L
