- Carl, If the length of storage will really only be two years, then the only recomendations I'd make are to oil the cylinders up, drain the carb bowls, and yes- move the crankshaft ( with spark plugs

- Make sure you have a bit of oil in each cylindar. Then turn the engine a few revs. What you are most concerned about is the rings sticking to the walls and then breaking when you go to use the engine
