FWIW, an electric fan, even if switched on, will restrict air flow thru the rad at speed, so that a car that would otherwise be OK might over-heat on the track. My recommendation is to live with the

Usually I agree with Brian, but not 100% on this one. If your Lotus runs cool enough WITH the electric fan installed, leave it on the car! Starting up at the 3-minute signal is overly idealistic. At

Brian et al: I'll let you know - my car (1958 VAY Special) with a 948 always gets temperature WAY too fast on the mock grid and keeps it far too long after a track session - but runs right at 160-180
