- All I had left to do to be able to drive my car was to let the car warm up, retorque the head nuts, and reset the valve clearance. I was tightening the nuts when the stud between spark plugs 3 and 4

- When installing studs in the block they should be 'finger' tight. I assume that's what you did. If so, remove the head and you should be able to remove the broken stud easily. Then call the stud vend

- It's _possible_ to remove a head stud without removing the head. Since the studs are new, one would expect that, normally, the broken stud would not be stuck in the block. There's no certainty that
