I have heard that WaterDisplacer-40 can etch machined surfaces. I would use Marvel Mystery Oil on machined surfaces. Some auto machine shops use it to protect freshly-machined auto engine parts. Plu

Kevin, Uh, this really will vary depending on the climate where you live. A light spray of WD-40 every couple of weeks should be fine. Having said that, I notice recommendations from Arizona, Hawaii
