Oh, my god, that is just horrendous. My sympathies to the family. After the shock at such an incredible event, my mind goes to "how to automatically shut down a vehicle as soon as it is upside down".

I agree. It IS horrendous. One of the ideas that's been discussed on some of the other lists is a crew chief switch that would send a digitally encoded signal (unique to each car) to either shut off
