That was probably me. The rails themselves can only be installed parallel since they are tied together. The rail mounting BOLTS do not go in the way you would expect, and as I recall the bolts on on

The seat runners driver and passenger on my 1971 are identical but are mounted differently on drivers vs. passenger side. Same for the seat mounting as well as there are two holes on the front seat
