I have a parts list for BMC SU carburetters - AKD5036, 1966. It doesn't show any washers under the cheesehead screws that attach the piston/chamber assembly to the HD6 body. I don't have any literat

FWIW, I can't see any logic using lock washers, especially the split type, on aluminum. Not only do the sharp ends of the washer dig into the Al, but in so doing it relieves the spring force, which
