- Does anyone know if any MGBGTs(racing or stock) ever came from the factory with A Roots Supercharger? Any information on this subject would be helpful. I am currently considering buying a 1967 MGBGT

- goings-on on a car made before January 1, 1968. After that... It was not a factory option to my knowledge or every autocrosser would have had one, believe me.

- Let me guess: The air first goes through the three carbs. Then through the Roots blower, which is connected to the B cylinder head via a manifold similar to the one used to put one large SU on a B. B

- Well, you certainly couldn't presurize an SU and have it work, so that sounds reasonable. But 3 carbs? All the supercharged installations I can recall only have 1! (well, maybe 2, but not 3) You get

- A pressurized SU or Stromberg would require the area above the diaphragm to be pressurized as well as the float bowls...

- Whoops... Randy, you are quite right. Been too long since I've thought about turbocharging a Jensen-Healey, I guess... :-) Blow-through on a SU or ZS would be quite easy...
