An impact wrench works very nicely on this sort of thing (removing nus from things that spin). I think a 1/2" wrench would be sufficient. Good luck,

I have this very useful item known as a flywheel lock. It's a small thing with tangs that engage the teeth on the flywheel and a bolt coming out the back that you put in one of the engine mount hole

Here's what worked on my 1300 Spitfire: Get a relatively big pipe wrench to fit the nut. ($5.00 used from flea market). Take off the radiator, of course. Place the wrench on the nut, with the handle
