- Well, the machine shop called Friday and delivered the bad news. My 1147 block needs to go to 0.040 over pistons. And TRF has one. GAK. VB has a set, but I`m not overly fond of them. Anyone else know

- (who asked about piston source) aren't +.040 spitfire pistons the same as stock size GT6 or GT6+. If that's what you are looking for try TRF or Victoria British. You could even do domes if you want.

- Looks like the 1500 is a cross to the GT-6. The 1147 is a much smaller bore. Sigh. My sources are all trying to call AE at the moment....
