Hello Don, You have raised a very interesting point with regards the four 1/4" holes on the top of each side rail. I have three "P" type chassis' at present to look at and they all have these holes (

I can only report on PA 1823. I have top and bottom of prop shaft cover as you describe... but bottom plate extends only as far as cross-member supporting the forward end of rear springs (2'1" long)

My opinion is that Peter is correct in that all chassis had the same set of holes. My 4 seater has the brackets that were used to mount the 2 seater body. As I remember I determined this by looking
