You have to be careful about relying on very early road test reports, very early editions of dealer's brochures and owner's manuals, because they are often based on pre-production models. Somewhere

I too agree with Andy...Most reputable brochure dealers can authenticate brochure dates...but I have yet to see an accurate book for concours restoration that covers all the TR models ... so beware.

I guess I misspoke a bit here. I meant that U.S.-manufactured cars generally went to amber front turn signals in 1963. Imports did not necessarily follow suit, Triumphs being a good example of that.
