Hi guys, I took the TR3B out for her first run of the summer today. Barely made it to the Gas Station since she was running very poorly. I didn't think to much about it since the gas was nearly a yea

Mike, I am hoping it was carbon. It didn't look wet at all, dry & black. I have never seen a Bosch Platin look like this since they usually run clean. You would think it is a bad wire but they are re

Randall, Thanks for your thoughts. This motor has a history, since it was rebuilt, of singing valves that are very difficult to adjust. I swear I would adjust them to best of my ability, drive it 100

Hi Folks, I'm currently running Champion L87Y's, because that's what's been in there since I got the car in 1970. Moss also sent these in their tune-up kit. They foul up a little more than I care for

John, IMO plug fouling has more to do with engine condition and state of tune (also fuel being burnt) than it does with plug construction. (Assuming of course that the plugs are the proper heat rang

I've found that the NGKs work great. I am curious about the Bosch Paltinum 4s but the NGKs are $1.50 each vs $4.00 for the Bosch 4s. Been driving the NGKs for almost a year with no problems starting

FWIW, it's not terribly difficult to find the Bosch Platinums cheaper than $4. ISTR the last ones I bought retail were only about $2.75 each. Realey Healey has them for $3/each. Bosch is currently of

Plug heat range measures how well the plug sheds heat to the cylinder head, and this depends on the size and shape of the ceramic insulator. Hot plugs shed heat slowly, because the contact between in
