After the car warms up, the pressure should be around 20ish psi at idle. At freeway speeds or high RPM's, it can get up to 60+ psi. You should get worried when your pressure goes to zero. Seth ** REP

What should the oil pressure be? What should it be at freeway speeds? a good rule of thumb is 10 psi for every 1000 rpm, 2000 rpm= 20 psi. This is all the engine really needs. high volume and high p
