Hi Doug, Any filter that fits the 94 to 98 Mustang 3.8L V6 will work. A few: AC Delco PF56 K&N HP 2009 -- My favorite Fram PH3600 Pennzoil PZ19 Purolator L20195 Motorcraft FL400S Dave Russell BN2

That's a good list to keep handy. Personally I would opt for either the AC Delco or the Motorcraft. I know that Motorcraft filter well, and it has a really good anti-drainback valve in it along with

i have never noticed any kind of an anti-drain valve on the original oil filter setup. what prevents the oil from draining out of it? healeymanjim
