The nos. and stripes appear to be a super thin mylar. The adhesive won't soften with a 1200 watt hair dryer. Trying to peel this stuff off ends up in a futile excercise of chipping teeny little bits

If you can get it under the lip of a number, I have found that penetrants like Kroil or WD 40 will slowly release adhesives. It is a slow process of peeling it back about a 1/16 of the an inch, apply

Not positive on this one, but if it has adhesive on the back, lighter fluid works really well on just about every sticker or stick-on I've ever tried to remove. Won't harm the paint either. Gerard G

Like I just told Irv, I'm not sure how long these nos. have been on the car. The material is very "brittle", with little indication of any adhesive layer. Could they be some kind of archaic decal? W

Really doesn't matter how old... if it had adhesive, the lighter fluid will loosen and dissolve it. It will clean up even the worst residue left behind, though it may take a few passed with a clean

Greg, Try spraying with WD-40 or another product like Kroil. Kroil works better. I have seen a body shop use spray oven cleaner to remove graphics with no problems. Don't know if I'd try that unless
