Jim--There is a way to check fo see if the coil is bad, but first, I wouldn't look beyond the points themselves, as to why you have no spark. Chances are good the problem is the points are being grou

the voltage on the neg - side of the coil should go on and off as the points open and close if this is not happening your points are not working check that and write back for the next step happy moth

the condenser in the system keeps the points from arcing open it servers as a path for the voltage to go until the points are open in the past i have found that the are ether good or bad usually shor

Fitz and all, Replaced all the new "stuff" with the old. Guess what, I have plenty of spark and things are working correctly. Let me get some fuel to the two dry carbs and I may be on the road today.
