My opinion is that it is more important not to mix fluids. If you are topping off the fluid in your lubricator, use the same fluid that is in it. If you don't know what is in it, I would empty it fir

I use hydraulic oil, AW32 because that's what I have handy, I use it in my tractor and hoist. The original seals are made for hydraulic oils so it is fine. I don't use a lubricator, too much hassle.
