I purchased a few O-rings from Home Depot. There were not beveled in the inside and flat on one side like the original. It did not seems to help the air leak when the door was up. So I believe it may

I have ordered two of the repair kits The vendor indicated it should include the 0-Ring and Plunger. Basically all the internals to repair the solenoid. I will find out in a couple of days if that is

If you're leaking externally at the solenoid valve, it's the o-ring. If you're leaking through the exhaust side of the valve, it's the plunger. The spring is used to provide enough force to counter

just a note, don't oil the plunger, I had an intermittent issue with the passenger side up solenoid on one of my cars, It turned out some of the lubricating oil had gotten on the shaft of the plunger
