Cast iron is about 3x heavier than aluminum, so the aluminum model must be about 25% thinner than the cast iron ones. I can see why the old, thin aluminum bellhousings are considered a bit flimsy for

I don't know what the problem is. As long as you use the thicker one you should not have any trouble. I have had 2 of them (still have one) and have never had any problems. Bob Totten now has one of

The bellhousing which caught his eye at the time was the thin wall type, so I don't really know if he was being specific about that type or the alloy bellhousings in general (I suspect the former). T
