Don't know about a collapsible spare, but the 'compact' spare from many modern cars works pretty good. ISTR the size is something like T125/80-15, used on big Volvos and Nissan Maximas, among others

Why don't you post this to the bulletin board at http://www.mgcars.org.uk where you'll find a whole lot of very knowledgeable MGA owners. Somebody might have the answer for you, and the rest of us c

I posted earlier about using a T125/80-15 from a modern car (Nissan Maxima I think), I have it mounted on an original TR3A steel rim (4x15J I think). I believe your Twin Cam rim is a very similar si

OK, I'm starting to get the idea. I understand what twin cam rims are like. I assume the spare mounts the same as a non-twin cam. It protrudes through the wall from the boot into the area behind the

You could do what I did. I went to a wheel shop. I had them weld a spline drive hub to a center, which they welded to a space saver rim; I also had them change the offset. Yes, it was expensive. What

Not sure what options you have on an MGA, but in my TR6 I use a TR3 wheel as a compact spare. The bolt pattern is the same but the rim is narrow and the tire is smaller so I save some weight and I ha
