That is probably because the sway bar you had was a much different type than what is commonly used on Spits. Every one I have seen used on a Spitfire had the same very harsh ride. If you install one

Sorry Nolan, It's long gone!! I shipped it to a guy on the West coast that building a Spitfire just to be used as a Auto Cross vehicle. I would never recommend a rear sway bar when the original type
