Approximately how much primer (gallons, quarts, liters, etc.) is required to do one Sprite? Please, keep the "one car's worth" responses to a minimum, as I've heard that twice already today. Thanks -

I usually use about a gallon. This does the car 3 or 4 times with a hand block sanding inbetween. Down and dirty, 1 qt will do it if the bodywork is as good as it gets. -- Frank Clarici Toms River, N

Tim You can use an epoxy primer but note that it is hard as nails and usually not sandable. I would use a 2 part urethane primer not a lacquer primer. The urethane will cure but still might absorb mo

As far as I know only epoxy needs to be topcoated within a week.Since epoxy doesn't need sanding, just a scuff and cleaning to get dust nibs off will do, then prime with a surfacer. Let it sit as lo
