Sounds like it could be vapor lock. It is somewhat common on 2000's that are driven in hot climates. Michael

I had the same problem in my 1600 but I put the fuel cap from my Toyota Cressida on and that solved it. I don't know how safe it is but it solved the vapor lock problem. Lynne -- Original Message --
