- For what it's worth. VARAC (Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada) follows the CASC rules: Driver Suits: One Piece Suits - 2 layers approved material with approved underware - 3 layer suit

- The open face helmets depends on the group. I have used an open faced helmet at the Monaco & Monterey Historics without any questions, but I was not allowed to use the same helmet at Lime Rock this m

- Jim, I would strongly recommend _against_ an open helmet with goggles. I know it looks more vintage, but as the survivor of two roll overs in a Triumph TR3A, I can attest to the fact the face shield

- Here's my 2 cents on the subject. I started racing open wheel cars in driving school, so a closed helmet was a must. I now prefer this for enclosed cars as well, just for the extra protection it offe
