Bill, My '68 2000 Solex (jets UNK. but seem "rich") with stock ignition, "B" cam, headers, 3.90 and 205/60-14 rears with 195/55-14 fronts, has never gotten much better than 10 MPG around town, mostly

I'm running almost the same setup - Recently rebuilt SU's, G. Boone dizzy, not sure about cam, same size tires - and I average 20 MPG. I can get closer to 30 on the highway if I keep it under 70 but

I used to get 25+ mpg in my R16, but since I changed to K&N's and swaping out needles, I'm averaging 18. The combination of 185/60-14's , 3.9 rear end, and 4spd tranny don't help mileage either. I'm
