I just purchased a MKII vintage GT6 gas filler cap on EBAY. Now I am not really complaining since I got a pretty good deal on it ($20). . .but. . .in all fairness it was advertised as a GT6 magnetic

They make custom industrial magnets. Odds are, they've got what you need already available. I love the web, it's even better then the Thomas Registry! :-)

Barry, Will a large washer fit in the cap? Wrap some insulated wire in coils around the washer, and hook it up to a battery with clips...not too long or you will melt the insulation and kill the batt
