- Sounds OK to me. But I added a coat of spray undercoating to the floorpan and covered it with a layer of aluminum foil before I layed down the carpeting. I dare it to rust now!!!! Bill Olson Arkansas

- Go to the automotive paint and body repair supplies store. They have a chemical called, I think, Rust Mort. It turns rust into the equivelant of a paint primer. ______________________________________

- That's another option I'm considering. Lay down a good layer of water-repellent glop! Or punch a weep hole somewhere and always park facing downhill. :) Gotta wonder why that nice thick sound-deadeni

- When I did my B floor I cured the rust as you propose to and then I used boiling hot roof tar. This gives a close approximate to the original material used and provided you apply hot and onto a clean

- Hi Jay, I have the same problem with my 80B on the floors. I plan to wire brush floors, grind off the surface rust with a good hand rotary sander, hand sand crevices the best I can, prime with rustol
