To all, I would like to discuss the proposal of allowing FF2000 cars to compete in the C Modified class in SCCA Solo II competition. Let me open by stating that I am against the proposal for several

Just an FYI, the minimum weight for a FF2000 in Formula Continental is 1190 with driver and many cars need ballast to make this weight. 1400 lbs is 210 over road race. I don't think there would be a

Does anybody remember the Solo Vee cars? Weren't they Formula Vee cars modified to run in Solo II, not competitive and then orphaned because there was no good place for them to play? Could this propo

I am new to CM as of this past season. I ran in DS with a Neon for 5 years, in AM for 1 year and now in CM. AM was an anomaly, I had a chance to drive a 900lb car with 250hp and a big wing so I did i

Yup, a tiepoo. My feeling is that the F2000 car (not all of FC) would not be a killer, any more than the S2 has been. At the same time, I do not think the F2000 should be added to CM. The problem is

You may want to be a little careful with the "reply all". It looks like your response went to the SEB. They get enough mail as it is! :-) Please see below. Greg Scharnberg 94 Citation SF - FC 82 Ral

Actually, that was entirely deliberate. Note that the "To:" line was the SEB and the CC line was the CM list. It was intended as a message to the SEB which was cc'ed to the interested group. Many peo

The S2000 is a killer car. It is just that the cars are such a pain in the a$$ that very few people want to autox one. Guy Ankeny is the only person who has prepped one to full national level (and wa

Yes, Solo V's are significantly modified from the Formula V rules including (I think) a bigger engine and wider wheels/tires. They may be stuck with the same gear ratio's as FV and I know the carb ru

Good arguments on all, but I have to take exception here: Only a few divisions have a Club Continental class. SOWDIV does not. You need to have a pushrod suspension car to run in the front half of t
