That's the way my J2 was. Alternately, mount the rear via gearbox or cross-shaft (I'm not sure of the configuration on the NA), then lift the engine and bolt the front mount to the engine. Does that

Hi Terry, I found it easier to lift the NA (on a ramp when available), put the engine with gearbox and front mounting in position under the car, and then lift the complete unit up and fix it. Gerhard

Recently Brian Kelly came over and helped me install mine. Previously, clutch and tranny had been fitted up to engine, but all other anceliery items were not, to reduce weight and give max. working
