I meant mainly that the mailing list has some "official" status with regards to posting of some SCCA-related announcements, etc. Maybe I'll put forth a motion tomorrow to have such announcements post

I prefer the forum format myself, where I can go and skim over new messages at my leisure (rather than having them "pushed" into my E-mail in-box), follow up one ones that interest me, ignore others.
