- Good factory info... Here's my two pence...The local 'experts' told me to run 10W (the red can 3in1) for faster throttle response. So...I always have! I have no idea if it's true...suggest applying

- I've also experimented with different weight oil in the dashpots of my TR3A, and I agree with Carl that lighter is not better. I settled on straight 40 weight motor oil, which works fine in the cold

- I have always used auto trans fluid. I think it is about 20w. Used it in my old 57 MGA, 58, 59 TR3A and 64 TR4. I know I read it in some manual somewhere along the way. Bob Labuz 1958 TR3A 1974 T140
