Try connecting a jumper wire between the two terminals on the rheostat and see if the dash lights come on. If that happens, then the rheostat is bad or just dirty. Before buying a new one, remove it

Bill, there is a leather in that turn signal switch which dries out, you can take it apart and lube the leather.....do a google search, several articles have been written on how to do it. Its easy. Y
