Try this. Take a copper penny (not one of those zink alloy ones thay are making now) and put it into a small jar. Pour in some Coca-Cola and cap it. Leave it overnight and EMAIL back with the result

I think you need to buy the 'special' Coca-Cola, which comes in a bottle labeled "super penetrant" or other such words. This brand does not have the delicious flavors that true Coca-Cola comes in, so

Don't know about the derusting values of Coke, but is sure does wonders for battery corrosion (on terminals and such)!!!

Its possible because coke contains very small amounts of phosphoric acid, same as other rust deadeners. I wouldn't have thought it would be enough to work though. Stu
