- Since I don't have a spare in hand, can somone tell me if the MGA (and early MGB) clutch slave cylinder is supposed to have a steel or aluminum piston? I have a report of one with an aluminum piston

- The Leyland Parts Catalogue only shows one part number for all 4-cylinder clutch slaves, so no concept of early and late MGB types. Having said that, whether the piston is alloy or steel I don't know

- Yes, seal takes the wear. So when restoring my slave cyl. I made the inside of the piston smooth with a fine emery cloth. Renewed the seal and used a bit of "brake" grease and it still is working fin
