I'm trying to decide whether to rebuild the carb on my 74 or just replace it with the Holley . I know this has been discussed before but I have forgotten which Holley will bolt on to the AMC manifold

Alan, It depends on your situation. Replacing the carb is not a bad thing, but will be a little costly - my guess is about $400 for carb and manifold. However, the quick fix, is a rebuild kit for the

I can not remember if the AMC uses a spread bore design or not? I have had very good results with Holley's newer Street Avenger series. the 670cfm would be a good choice for a 360. Demon Carbs makes

You can of course rebuild the original carburettor although one could make a case it was junk to begin with. The replacement TT recommended was a 600 cfm Holley with vacuum secondaries, model "1850"
