On the karting list they said to take some out and mix it with water. Dot 3 should fully disolve, silicon won't. Haven't done this myself, but can experiment tonight, if I remember. John Miller

Color: Silicone is light blue, DOT 3&4 are not. Test: Put some on a painted surface that you don't mind destroying. DOT 3&4 will dissolve paint, silicone will not. David Littlefield Houston, TX '62 M

Also check by looking at the color (all DOT 3 fluid is relatively clear and Silicone fluid is usually a bright color like blue or yellow) Regards, Nils
