The tap and die set should have had a drill size chart with it. The larger taps that I have also has the drill size stamped on them. Usually they are number sizes and not fractional sizes. Jim V.

Now that is the info that I need. The bolt that triggered my question has three rusted hash marks along with some printing. I was not sure they had invoked the SAE standard marking at that time. Can
