Any body have any good ideas as to why I am blowing alternators? This is an AC Delco 63 amp and I've gone through two in the span of a couple weeks. This setup has been fine for many years now until

No ideas, but I'm in the exact same blasted boat with my Delco alternator. Same symptoms, same problem. I have noticed that mine suddenly go into uncontrolled overcharging when the engine is idling.

Measure the voltage both when the engine is running and not. Make sure the battery is making at least 11.75 volts or so, and see if the alternator is making at least 13.25 volts or so. Or switch to a
