I know we've covered everything about engine stands, etc. but now I'm looking at getting a roll-around, fold-upable, standable in the corner type engine hoist. You know the type with the hyd cylinder

Bought one at the local Sam's Club a few weeks ago. Cheaper than Harbor Freight too @ $199. The one I got us designed to be rolled around on two wheels when it's folded up. Works quite nicely. iii

I hang 'em on a chain bolted to the engine on both ends and tilt by hand. Works fine with the small engines I have to handle. Can imagine it wouldn't work too well with a Big Block though. iii

When I pulled the /6 engine out of my dart I just rented one. It was big and solid, very inexpensive to rent (like $15 or 20 for a weekend), and I didn't have to store it afterwards. It 'felt' better

I just ordered mine from H.F., cost is $219, for the foldable one. Item number is 36399-3VGA. You can order it online too, that's what I did.
