I've cleaned up, steel wooled, polished, and even stooped to begging, but the alumimum trim from the door bottom area still looks like.....well, you know. There is enough corrosion and pitting on the

Hey Bill, Thanks for asking that question. Ive been having the same problem. Even on a buffing wheel I cant get it like the other alluminum on the car. I even resorted to sanding each groove, It did

Chroming them will make them look worse as it will show all the defects. I painted a set with chrome paint and they didn't look half bad, better than before but still not great. Mike Even on a buffin

I bead blasted my trim. It took off the corrosion and crud, left a nice uniform finish. A clear coat over the top would brighten them up. Pat '69 2000 '68 1600 parts _________________________________

For the sill on the rocker panels, we took my old ones to a local sheet metal shop and had some new ones made out of brushed stainless steel. To keep them looking like new, I go over them once a year
