Has anyone tried using a boat hull restorer on faded acrylic to bring the color back? The materials are similar so I am wondering if anyone has tried it. TB

My understanding on acrylic restoration is to simply sand with 2000 grit paper and then buff. Depending on how bad it is, or isn't you may be able to just buff it with some buffing compound. John Joh

You can safety wet sand by hand using up to 1000 grit sandpaper BUT the edges are easy to come through (I know) as there's no warning when you're going to come through. You may not be able to get out
