You'll be kicking yourself at some time in the future if you don't add the 220 when you had the chance. Its better for heaters anyway and who knows, you might pop for a big beautiful air compressor.

Bob, A lot depends on your specific layout. In general 220 is a good thing, dual voltage motors will start better on 220 but it's NOT TRUE that they're any cheaper to run at any one voltage over anot

Absolutely. Once you have the 220, you can spend a lot of money on a plasma cutter, a welder that will really weld, large compressors, air conditioners, etc. Yep, it is a great investment. Larry Dick
