- A friend of mine here in Denver is putting a turbo Merkur engine in a Spitfire. He is having to modify the bonnet. He is doing a first class job of it with a fabricated suspension using a Mazda diff

- Hmmm, I guess the Merkur sold better in some parts of the country than it did here in upstate New York. I saw very few here when they were new, let alone 20 years later! --Andy Mace
