101 1/2 ton short wheelbase 8 V-8 (six cyl has NO digit in this place) Y year model, S=58/9, T=57, I don't remember the 56 letter and I THINK Y=55, not 56. I'll look this up at home tonight and let

I checked the Master Parts Book last night. The VIN decode works like this: 1018YP3911 10 10=1/2 ton, 15=3/4 ton, 25=1 ton, 1 1=short bed, 2=long bed 8 8=V8 engine (288ci in '55, 316 in '56 347 in '5
