Ben, Find out if the distributor was curved and set for ported or intake vacuum...if ported, find a port on the carb that does not have vacuum until the throttle is open, if intake...then find a port

I was referring to the jets and metering rod and secondary springs setup...I've personally used 3 Edelbrock carbs for Q-jet replacements, one 1405, one 1406 and one 1411..all with good luck. Mike ole
