Kinda sounds like you are missing the seat "sliders" that have studs that bolt to the seat pan. Look at the Moss Catalog for item 801-400 and 801-405, the two center pieces are the "sliders" one for

No wonder! It was the DPO who took out the seats on my abandoned project And I have found 3 of 4 of the sliders. I also found a bright chrome piece which is also about the same size as a slider (but
