- Use 87 octane and your mileage will go up. All higher octane fuel does is line the oil companies pockets. How many miles on the car? Are they the original O2 sensors? Paul L Fisher Visit my website:

- I put 87 (the middle grade) in it once and had a lot of knocking and pinging, back in 2000, so I went right back to 92. Why could that have been? it has the original O2 sensors. Air filter is new wit

- High octane is only about 7% more expensive than low grade now. Only good thing about high gas prices is you don't feel much of a difference in the wallet anymore. David --Original Message-- ________

- Run at least a couple of tanks of 87. And I also trust that you stick your foot into it. If you light-foot it, so that it lugs around with the TC locked up at low engine speeds, that will also do it.

- I would start with dropping the supreme and start running 87 octane.......it may not seem to get better mileage off of the first few tanks, but it will improve after a couple of tanks. Fuel costs too
